Who we are

We are one big, happy family at Cornerstone. We hope you will come and join us for worship on Sunday mornings and evening services. (SEE our homepage for TIMES).

WE BELIEVE in the inspiration of the Holy Scriptures. The one true God, eternally existing in three persons- God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, heavenly ascension, priestly intercession, and soon return.

WE BELIEVE that the church is the body of Christ.

WE BELIEVE in the salvation through the precious, redemptive blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE in water and spirit baptism to all believers who ask.

WE BELIEVE in the justification and santification by walking in obedience of God's Word.

WE BELIEVE in the death of Christ on the cross that provides salvation and healing to the body in believing by prayer.

WE BELIEVE in the blessed hope of the return of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His redeemed church.

The History Behind Cornerstone
Our church began in May 2003. The stone building sturcture was once an upholestry business. The original stone came from the old state capitol building along Kanawha Blvd. in the city of Charleston, West Virginia. Our little church is situated along I-79 and old Route 60. Our area is rich in history. We're just a quarter of a mile away from the Craik-Patton historical house on the riverfront Daniel Boone park. We're just a mile from downtown Charleston. Just east of us are the communities of Malden and Belle. The church was begun by present pastor, Rev. Pastor Claude Holley, Jr. and his wife, Cindy Holley. Elected Officers are Larry Copley, Carl Harrison and Jim Rider. Music and Choir directors are Jim Rider and Todd Taylor. The church choir is available on appointment for your special church gathering or revival. For an appointment ask for Debbie Bass.

Youth Groups
Our church is concerned about our today's youth. We feel it's our responsibility and a command by our Lord Jesus Christ to minister to the lost and hurting in our community. We have a youth group in our church that meets each Wednesday at 7:00 PM. We encourage and helps our youths grow into mature and productive individuals through bible lessons and games. We have for our young people the attention they need and we schedule lots of fun family activities that they will enjoy. Our goal for our youth is to raise up a generation that will bring in the Kingdom of God and a new life in Christ.
